12:30 – 2:00 PM | Solidarity March: From Museumplein to Dam Square

Starting at 12:30 PM, we’ll gather at Museumplein to prepare our flags and banners. At 1:00 PM, following a brief orientation on the route, we will begin our walk toward the city center. This march is a traditional procession symbolizing the unity of the Ukrainian community and its European partners, serving as a confirmation of a shared commitment to the ideal of a united Europe. We expect to arrive at Dam Square around 1:45 PM for the start of the demonstration.

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Commemorative Manifestation at Dam Square

At 2:00 PM, the program on Dam Square begins with a powerful and symbolic moment: a flash mob by Ukrainian veterans. The afternoon combines speeches from government officials, diplomatic representatives, and cultural figures with moving artistic performances.

Following the opening by Vadim Bryginets (80th Galician Air Assault Brigade) and Jaap Scholten (Protect Ukraine), we welcome the Ukrainian Ambassador Andriy Kostin. Strong support from the Dutch government will be voiced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs David van Weel and the Minister of Defence Ruben Brekelmans.

The program provides a platform for those who know the war firsthand, such as veteran Andrii Rybalko. Between the speeches, there will be moments for reflection through music, poetry by Daria Lysenko, and a contribution by Vita Kovalenko (D66). Various activists and artists, including representatives from Dutch Civilian Action, Haarlem Rasom, and the Ukrainian Club Zaandam, will also share their messages. We will conclude the manifestation around 4:00 PM with a performance by Oksana Borbat (Theater of Friends) and the Ukrainian National Anthem.
